Care Team
We believe that, in addition to meeting the spiritual needs of people, the institutional local church is called to come alongside individuals experiencing physical and/or financial needs, particularly those individuals within the local congregation. This Biblical principle is set forth throughout the Scriptures, particularly in Acts 4:32-38 where those in need were provided for by their own local congregation. See also Galatians 6:10.
The purpose of Christ the Redeemer’s Care Team is to come alongside those individuals and families in our congregation and community who are experiencing financial and other material needs and to provide assistance to them. This assistance can be financial, but that is not the only mode of assistance the Care Team shall be prepared to provide. Ultimately, the assistance provided shall be a partnership with the recipient in which the Care Team comes alongside the recipient, partners with them, and seeks to demonstrate the variety of deep, messy, loving involvement through which the Lord engages all his people.
The Team conducts regularly scheduled quarterly meetings and may call special meetings from time to time at the discretion of the Chair.

We welcome communication regarding specific needs within the family. Know that all communications are handled in confidence and with sensitivity. Our goal is to model the Gospel by coming alongside our brothers and sisters with love and compassion in their time of need. Thank you for your help in identifying and reaching out to all such situations that are unfolding among us and around us.
